National Tom Sawyer Days in Full Swing Thursday

After the opening act at Tanyard Gardens Saturday and the opening of the carnival Wednesday, National Tom Sawyer Days gets underway in earnest Thursday.

The Thursday schedule includes a youth mud volleyball tournament on the courts at the Y-men’s pavilion at noon.

The winners of this year’s virtual pet show will be announced on F&M Bank’s Facebook page this afternoon.

The carnival opens at 5, with armbands on sale for $20.

And, Tanyard Gardens opens at 5:30 for the concert featuring Superjam.

The 65th annual National Tom Sawyer Days celebration continues through Sunday in downtown Hannibal.
