State Senator Brian Munzlinger today announced his support of Judge Philip Prewitt for Circuit Judge of Macon & Shelby Counties.

Senator Munzlinger said "Judge Prewitt is the conservative choice. He’s from our area and knows our issues. He will serve the people with honor and dignity."

Prewitt is the Associate Circuit Judge of Macon County. He is campaigning for the November election to be the Circuit Judge of Macon and Shelby Counties. Former Circuit Judge Hadley Grimm retired last year and Judge Prewitt is seeking to fill his position.

Prewitt served 18 years with the U.S. Army on active duty and in the reserves as an officer in the Armor, Transportation and Judge Advocate General Corps. When he was elected Associate Circuit Judge by the voters in Macon County, he also had 18 years experience as a lawyer handling cases in both federal and state courts. During 12 of those years, Prewitt owned his own law firm.

Judge Prewitt said he is very happy to have the Senator's endorsement.
