Tuesday is municipal election day in Missouri and Illinois.

In Quincy, the marquee race is for Mayor, where Democrat Nora Baldner Schnack faces Republican Mike Troup.

There are also four Quincy aldermanic races. In Ward One, Democrat Tonia McKiernan faces Republican Greg Fletcher. In Ward Three, it’s Democrat Jesse Hayner versus Republican Parker Freiburg. The Ward Four race features, Democrat Jeri Conboy and Republican Tony Sasser. And in Ward Five, it’s Republican Mike Rein versus Independent Ashley Conrad.

Elsewhere in Adams County, there are contested races for Village President in Payson and Plainville and Mayor in Golden, along with village trustee races in Golden, Liberty and Plainville.

In Marion County, Tysa Coleman, Laura Judlowe, Paul Ewert and Justin Parker are running for two seats on the Hannibal School Board.

There are aldermanic races in Monroe City, with Marvin Viloria facing Gary McElroy in Ward Two, Terry Osborn squaring off against Robby Ellison for a two year term in Ward Three and Ralph Lemongelli versus Juben Moss for a one year unexpired term, also in Ward Three.

In Ralls County, voters in New London will vote on a quarter-cent sales tax increase to pay for park maintenance and improvements.

Also in New London, Rodney Wells and Anthony Kamrowski are on the ballot for Ward Two Alderman.
