Havermale Announces Candidacy for Quincy Mayor

A former Quincy alderman has announced his intention to run for mayor next spring.

Paul Havermale made the formal announcement Thursday.

Havermale served on the Quincy City Council from 2003 to 2019.

Havermale joins Quincy School Board member Michael Troup and Quincy High student Brennan Hills as those so far who would like to succeed Kyle Moore as mayor.

Moore announced recently he would not seek reelection.

The deadline for potential candidates to file is November 23rd.

The primary election is February 23rd and the general election is April 6th of 2021.
