It was one of the stormiest Memorial Day weekends in recent memory through much of Missouri as multiple tornadoes caused big damage including a nearly half-mile wide EF-3 twister that was captured by multiple chasers in southern Missouri.

The National Weather Service in Springfield, Missouri has confirmed via their survey teams that the tornado that tore through Mountain View, Missouri on Sunday was EF-3 in strength and measured nearly a half-mile wide at its peak.

ABC 7 out of Chicago shared video captured by Joel Mesich as the tornado formed right in front of him.

Meteorologist Andy Hill captured video of this same Mountain View, Missouri tornado from a different perspective.

The National Weather Service in Springfield confirmed at least 8 Missouri tornadoes during Sunday's outbreak.
