More New COVID-19 Cases in Adams, Marion Counties

The surge in COVID-19 cases in Adams County continues.

Health department officials reported Sunday five new confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Adams County.

That brings the total number of positive cases in Adams County to 81, 37 of which are still active.

43 have recovered, one person has died.

Officials say there are likely more unconfirmed cases, citing community spread.

Two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Marion County.

Health department officials announced Saturday the two newest confirmed cases are a woman age 30 to 40 who is quarantined at home and a male nursing home resident in the 70 to 80 year old range. He is currently isolated in the nursing facility.

This brings to 15 the number of COVID cases in Marion County, six of whom have recovered.
