Quincy Memorial Bridge Closes
These Monday mid-morning updates on road closures in northeast Missouri come from the Missouri Department of Transportation
HANNIBAL -Monday, July 7 at approximately 9:45 a.m., IDOT and MoDOT crews closed US 24 eastbound Quincy Memorial Bridge at the Mississippi River at West Quincy. The Bayview Bridge at Quincy will temporarily carry both east and westbound traffic into Quincy or motorists may cross the Mississippi River Bridge on I-72/US 36 over the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge at Hannibal.
HANNIBAL - The following routes are closed in NE Missouri due to flooding along the Mississippi River. MoDOT reminds motorists it is dangerous to drive into water-covered roads. We will continue to monitor the following areas and update if conditions change.
Clark
US 61 - at Alexandria approximately 2.4 miles east of US 136 near the Des Moines River Bridge
Lewis
Route B - Flood Gates installed just north of Canton; road closed from MO 16 in Canton to US 61
Route B - on Business Route 61 North through areas of LaGrange
Marion
MO 79 - Marion/Ralls County - South of Hannibal south of Sawyers Creek and Mark Twain Cave; flooded from just south of the entrance to Sawyers Creek and Mark Twain Cave to just south of Continental Cement main entrance
US 24 East - closed at Quincy Memorial Bridge into Quincy, Illinois
Bayview Bridge will temporarily carry east and westbound traffic into Quincy.
Pike
(MO 79 closed at the following locations from south of Louisiana to south of Clarksville)
US 54 -Champ Clark Bridge over the Mississippi River at Louisiana; flooding on Illinois approach to the bridge. Traffic will be detoured over US 54, US 61 and I-72 to the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge at Hannibal. Detour signs will be posted on MO 79 at Louisiana, US 61 and US 54 near Bowling Green, US 61, US 36 and I-72 at Hannibal, IL 96 and I-72 near Hull, Illinois, and IL 96 and US 54 at Atlas, Illinois.
MO 79 - city of Louisiana low areas from S. Carolina St. to Delaware St. near Noix Creek to .62 miles south of Route D
MO 79 - south of Louisiana - Low area 1 mile north and south of Route N junction; flooding beginning .16 mile north of Route N to .4 mile south of Route N
Route N - flooding at the junction of MO 79 at the north edge of Clarksville; there is no access from Route N to MO 79; Route N is officially closed from Pike County Road 234 east to MO 79, use Route W to access MO 79 into Clarksville
MO 79 - south of Clarksville - Low areas south of Route W in city limits of Clarksville; flooding reported beginning at Route W south to just south of the city limits of Clarksville near Eagles Bluff Golf Course
Route P - east of levee at the Mississippi River Access

Route E - from MO 79 east to Lock and Dam 22 at Saverton
