Spring football is over for the Missouri Tigers. Coach Gary Pinkel says sophomore quarterback Maty Mauk continues to improve as his sophomore year approaches.  “He just knows the offense better, he reads defenses better which is typical after playing a third of the season like he did.”

Mauk was 11 of 15 for 129 yards passing Saturday. He also ran for a 3 yard TD in a goal line situation. Overall, Mizzou quarterbacks completed 27 of 53 passes in the Black and Gold Spring game. Those 27 completions were spread among ten backs and receivers.

Missouri opens the 2014 season at home against South Dakota State on August 30th.

Year Three in the SEC starts September 27th with a trip to South Carolina.
