Another November Football Weekend
Another full weekend of football is coming up.
The Hannibal Pirates are on the road tomorrow night in St. Peters where they take on Ft. Zumwalt East. It's the second ever meeting between the Pirates and Lions. Hannibal won there in the 2009 regionals 37-12. Mat Sims set the school record with most touchdown catches as he hauled in four TD passes. Friday's winner goes on
to the Class 4 quarterfinals next weekend. If Hannibal wins, they would host either Hazelwood East or MICDS. Those teams play Saturday afternoon at Hazelwood East in the northern suburbs of St. Louis.
On Saturday, Mizzou looks to build on the win at Florida as they host Vanderbilt. Kickoff is at 11 a-m in Columbia. We'll join the Tiger Network broadcast on KHMO and here on khmoradio.com right after Bids For Bargains. Also on Saturday, Culver Stockton wraps up the season on the road at Graceland University. Quincy University wraps up their
season with Southwest Baptist. Senior Day ceremones precede the 1 p-m kickoff.
On Sunday, it used to be a Governor's Cup game in Missouri, until Bill Bidwill decided that his football Cardinals should wander about the Arizona desert following the 1987 season. Kickoff is at noon as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Arizona Cardinals. Airtime on our sister station 97.9 KICK-FM is at 11 a-m. The Gridbirds have had
their problems in 2018. Not on the level of the Oakland Raiders, but the Big Red have a lot of problems without considering how to defend Patrick Marhomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and their friends.
We'll preview the weekend Friday morning between 7:30 and 8 a-m Friday on our Friday Football Focus on KHMO and khmoradio.com
and review the weekend's events on our Monday Morning Quarterbacks.
