Missouri Walmart Stores Recall Candy For Potential Contamination
If you've been to a Missouri Walmart store lately and picked up a few snacks you might have bought something that has been recalled.
I'm not a big snack/candy person but if you are there is a massive recall happening in Missouri Walmart and Target stores.
The retail giants are recalling the "White Coated Confectionary" items made by the Palmer Candy Company in Sioux City, Iowa. This product may have the potential to be contained with Saknibekka, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, and elderly people. No illness has been reported yet.
The recall has been distributed to Walmart, Target, and Dollar General in 17 states, including Missouri and Illinois.
The product comes in a variety of retail packaging like bags, pouches, and tubs. Anything that may have the white chocolate coating has been recalled. Consumers who have purchased White coated confectionary items manufactured by Palmer Candy Company are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The Iowa-based candy company has suspended the production of the liquid coating while the FDA investigates what happened.
