Need something done right? Call a plumber. That may be true even if you're in a vehicle crash based on something that just happened in St. Louis where a man in an overturned dump truck got saved by a plumber and a handy tool he had with him.

Fox 2 St. Louis shared the inspiring story of Joe Bower who's a plumber for Roto Rooter in St. Louis. He was on his way to a job Monday of this week when he saw a huge dump truck in front of him overturn. That's when Joe went from being a plumber to a hero.

What Joe found when he checked on the driver was that he was unable to escape the vehicle because of how it was wedged against the median. Joe used the winch on his truck to try and move the vehicle far enough so they could help extract the driver. There was also diesel fuel present on the ground so Joe was afraid to wait for responding fire departments in case the fuel ignited and endangered the driver.

What he didn't know was that his moving of the truck also relieved pressure on the driver according to the Fox 2 St. Louis report. They report that emergency personnel that arrived on the scene applauded Joe Bower's heroic efforts. His quick thinking may have saved the driver much more serious injuries.

Just proves there are few things a plumber can't solve. Even on the highway. Not all heroes wear capes. Some have winches.
