There are few things nastier than water that is unsafe. Missouri's Department of Natural Resources warns that there is one location where it's vital to boil water immediately.

I saw that even Newsweek shared the word that Missouri was one of three states that suddenly have boil orders in place. I checked the Missouri Department of Natural Resources site and confirmed it's true. The villain is Fecal Coliform/E.Coli which has been detected in the water in this Missouri location current as of this writing.

It's actually right in the middle of one of the busier tourist areas of Missouri during the summer months:

The Tavern At Trails End, 258 Trails End Road, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079

This order was issued yesterday July 17, 2024 and there's no word how long it will be in place.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources emphasizes with this boil order that it's not for the general Lake of the Ozarks area necessarily, but just the water system directly involved with that address.

There's no word on the bulletin about how long the boil order would be in place, but it's normal for it to cover a 24 to 48 hour period at least.

Make sure to check the official boil order status website for the state of Missouri from the Department of Natural Resources for updates and more details.
