Missouri may be known as the Show-Me State, but it's also known as the Cave State with over 7,00 known caves. But, there are two underground caves you didn't know existed, among America's best-kept secrets.

The Onondaga Cave (located in Onondaga Cave State Park) and Marvel Cave (located in Branson) are two caves that are a part of some of the best underground attractions in America.

The Onondaga Cave

This cave is known as being an underground world of stalactites and stalagmites. That's a mouthful. In Other words, it's one of the most beautiful sites in the Show-Me State. Explore the Lily Pad room named for its lili-like calcite deposited, according to Love Exploring.

Marvel Cave

Minors looking for treasures found the Marvel Cave in the 19th century. If you're brave enough to travel down the 600 steps you will find some of the most beautiful epic like Cathedral Rooms and several waterfalls. The Marvel Cave is located in Branson.

You may not have known that either of these places existed, but now that you do either of these underground attractions could be a fun place to explore. I wonder also if they stay the same temp all year like the Mark Twain Cave. So you can cool off in an underground cave on those hot summer days.
