One Tiny Missouri Place Named 6th Best Small Town in America
Some would disagree, but I'm convinced there's no better life in America than being in a small town. One tiny Missouri place was just given quite an honor being declared the 6th best small town in America.
I will admit that I disagree with internet conclusions about many things. Frankly, few people that make these lists have ever even visited the places they write about. However, this is one internet list that I think got this absolutely right.
Far and Wide just announced the 2024 winners of the best small town in America awards. The only qualification is that for a town to be considered, it can't have a population greater than 10,000. The Missouri place they chose as the 6th best small town in America has a tiny population of just 266.
Well done, Rocheport, Missouri. You truly deserve this kind of wonderful recognition. Full of history, close to the famous Katy Trail and with wonderful river views, there really isn't anything to not love there.
Far and Wide says Rocheport has "some of the best natural landscapes that the state has to offer" and they're not wrong. Hiking the Katy Trail is something everyone should try to do at least once in their life.
Also congratulations to Sainte Genevieve, Missouri which also made the top 100 best small towns in America coming in at #75.
