A Minnesota man is arrested on weapons charges in Pike County, Illinois over the weekend.

The Illinois State Police reports that troopers pulled over a car for speeding on Interstate 72 east of Pittsfield about 9 p.m. Saturday.

During the stop, the trooper detected the odor of burnt cannabis coming from the car.

An investigation revealed that the driver, 51 year old Vincent Bray of Fulda, Minnesota, was in possession of a 40 caliber handgun.

Bray was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Bray was taken to the Pike County Jail.
