Melina Torres’ Uncle Pleads Not Guilty to Role in Shooting Death
The uncle of the seven year old girl who was shot to death last month entered a not guilty plea Wednesday to charges in connection the fatal shooting.
32 year old Daniel Roberts is charged with endangering the life of a child, possession of a weapon by a felon and obstruction of justice.
Roberts is allegedly responsible for placing a loaded 22-caliber rifle into the hands of a three year old, resulting in the death of Melina Torres May 20th in rural Adams County.
Torres’ mother and grandmother, along with a family friend, have also been charged in the case.
Roberts is back in court for a pretrial hearing July 29th.
