Former Menard’s Manager Pleads Not Guilty to Theft Charges

The former assistant manager of the Quincy Menard’s has pleaded not guilty to theft charges.

In Adams County Court Wednesday, 35 year old Michelle Lewis pleaded not guilty to theft over $500,000 and theft over $100,000.

Lewis is alleged to have stolen over a half-million dollars in cash from the store from September of 2014 and May of 2019.

Quincy Police had been alerted by Menard’s corporate security about possible internal theft. An investigation led to Lewis’ arrest May 22nd.

Lewis returns to court for a status hearing December 18th. A jury trial has been set for January 13th.
