McCaskill Makes Campaign Stop in Hannibal
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill spent part of Monday morning in Hannibal rallying her supporters for the final two weeks of the campaign.
McCaskill opened her remarks by saying Missourians have a choice. "We have a choice between somebody who is gonna take the party line and be part of the partisan warfare or, they can choose to send be back to the middle where I kinda hang out, try to pull people in from the ends, find compromises and actually get things done."
McCaskill’s pep talk to 60 or so supporters highlighted differences between her and challenger Josh Hawley on Health care issues. McCaskill also cited her work on controlling opiods availability. McCaskill also touched on dark money at work in the political process. "The first thing somebody says to me is 'well they're running dark money ads for you too'. Yeah, but I tell people not to pay any attention to 'em. If you can't tell who's paying for an ad, you should ignore it."
McCaskill says disclosure is essential because that will impact what you think about those ads.
