Maywood Man Bound Over For Trial on Domestic Assault

A Maywood man accused of domestic assault in a late March incident makes a court appearance.

56 year old Ernest Branham of Maywood appeared before Judge Fred Westhoff this week for a preliminary hearing. During the hearing,  the alleged victim testified that Branham pointed a gun at her head while he was intoxicated. Sergeant Jerrod Eisenberg testified that he located a handgun at the scene. Judge Westhoff found probable cause that a crime was committed and bound the case over to circuit court. Branham’s next court date is pending.
