Masterson Sentenced to Life Without Parole

A Quincy man is sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the beating death of another man.

51-year-old David Masterson was found guilty of first degree in a jury trial in April, in connection with the beating death of Jason Tournear last December.

Tournear had reportedly been a guest in Masterson’s residence. The two were involved in a dispute, and Masterson allegedly struck Tournear several times with a metal pipe.
