Masterson Declared Fit to Stand Trial

A Quincy man charged with murder following a fatal beating on December 12 is declared fit to stand trial.
Court record indicate David Masterson of Quincy was declared fit to stand trial after a mental fitness evaluation earlier this month. A preliminary hearing is set for next Tuesday afternoon. Masterson is accused of killing 41-year-old Jason Tournear with a metal pipe.

Police said Tournear and Masterson knew each other and got into a fight.
