The search continues for a man wanted for burglary and theft.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies and Missouri Highway Patrolmen have been looking for the man since Tuesday morning.

The man is believed to have stolen multiple vehicles, making his way from northeast Illinois into Marion County.

The man, described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, tried to burglarize a home north of Palmyra.

A surveillance video shows the man at Wilco Fast Break in Palmyra about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, dressed in camouflage and carrying an Army type rucksack. The man was last seen walking northbound on Industrial Drive.

Officials with the Missouri Information Analysis Center, the Iowa Bureau of Investigation and Illinois authorities are assisting in the search.

Marion County authorities are looking for information on a man who ran into a wooded area near Palmyra Tuesday morning following a burglary report on County Road 361.

The suspect is described as a white male with a slender build. He was wearing blue jeans and no shirt. A black shirt may have been tied around his waist. When confronted in a garage, the man fled. Police believe he was stealing gasoline.
