The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the NEMO Drug Task Force and the Probation and Parole Office Wednesday conducted a compliance check among sex offenders who live in Marion County.

Anyone living in Marion County convicted of a sex crime is required to register with the sheriff’s office.

About 60 of those offenders were contacted Wednesday by authorities. During the compliance check, three subjects were found to be in possession of controlled substances and another subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Those cases were presented to the Marion County Prosecutors Office.
