A Kansas City man accused of firing a gun and taking off his clothes has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.

The Kansas City Star reports 43-year-old Errick E. Martin was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Martin was charged in August after Kansas City police responded to a report of shots being fired in a parking lot and found Martin naked. According to court documents, a witness told police they heard four or five shots being fired from a car that Martin had arrived in, and then saw him remove his clothes.

Police say Martin told them he had recently bought the gun and wanted to test it. According to court documents, Martin said he smoked PCP earlier that morning and stripped because he felt hot.
