An investigation into suspicious activity and items on sale posted on social media leads to an arrest.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say a 38 year old Jeremy Pipes is held in the Monroe County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property and forgery. The arrest follows an investigation of items for sale on social media by a Madison resident. The investigation led deputies to believe the items were reported stolen in Randolph County. Authorities report recovering approximately 20-thousand dollars worth of tools and equipment. An additional warrant was issued against Pipes for a violation of probation based on the new charges.
