Bankruptcy Filing Reveals 2 Wisconsin Clothing Stores are Closing
The number of brick and mortar businesses going under seems to be snowballing as a recent bankruptcy filing reveals at least 2 Wisconsin clothing stores will be closing.
It wasn't that long ago when this clothing retailer carried the latest trendy fashions. Now, in a press release, Express Inc announced in a press release on its website that "Express and its subsidiaries have filed voluntary Chapter 11 petitions in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court".
CNBC is reporting that bankruptcy will include 100 stores including 2 in Wisconsin. The 2 affected locations are the Express store at 89 East Towne Mall in Madison.
The other Express location that will close is at 210 N. Gasser Road in Baraboo which includes the outlet store.
USA Today is reporting that Express Inc stores are still fulfilling orders and honoring returns, but closing sales have reportedly already started at all the affected stores.
The Express Inc press release announcing the bankruptcy indicated that this process was to help facilitate the sale of the company.
As this is a developing story, it will be updated once new information is released.
