Louisiana Woman Charged With Marijuana Possession

A Louisiana, Missouri woman is in jail on possession of a controlled substance … in jail.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies made a traffic stop Saturday on Highway NN. A passenger in the car, 37-year-old Heather Stoops was found to be in possession of marijuana and taken into custody.

Deputies allege that Stoops was asked before she was taken to the Pike County Jail if she had any other illegal drugs in her possession. She said she didn’t, but once she was in jail, corrections officers allegedly found a second bag of pot on Stoops.

She is being held on $25,000 bond.
