If you were planning to do some renovations on your flooring in Missouri this Fall, you might want to check to see if they're still open. There's a major flooring brand that just announced they will close all stores and that includes 8 locations in Missouri.

This news just broke a few days ago that the company that began its existence as Lumber Liquidators would be no more after September. CNN shared the details of the plans announced by LL Flooring that they had hoped for a sale of the brand, but that didn't work out so they're going to sell everything and close all of their stores.

Here are the 8 locations of LL Flooring in Missouri from their official website:

  • Columbia
  • Fenton
  • Lee's Summit
  • Saint Peters
  • Springfield
  • Chesterfield
  • Kansas City
  • Joplin

The announcement of store closures included their plans to no longer accept any other flooring appointments as of last week.

The store announcement story said that part of the challenge faced by LL Flooring came from its Lumber Liquidator days when a class action lawsuit was brought against the company from customers that spanned a 6 year period. There were $33 million dollars in penalties due to "misleading investors about the formaldehyde" used in installations.
