Lewis County Man Arrested for Animal Abuse

A Lewis County man was arrested Tuesday after over two dozen dead animals were found on his property.

According to Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish, 57 year old Kirby Clark of rural Canton was taken into custody when a search of his farm revealed a total of 32 dead cows on the property.

Clark is charged with one count of animal abuse and 31 counts of failure to properly dispose of dead animals.

Clark was taken to the Lewis County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
