Lewis County is the latest Missouri county to record its first case of COVID-19.

Officials with the Lewis County Health Department announced Friday the first person in the county to test positive for the coronavirus is between 80 and 90 years old.

The individual was tested in a private laboratory and is currently receiving treatment in a healthcare facility.

Health officials in Lewis County remind you that the symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough and shortness of breath.
