A LaBelle man is in the Lewis County Jail on theft charges.

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish says his office received complaints Sunday morning from several LaBelle residents that someone had tampered with their vehicles parked in their driveways. They reported a cell phone, money and firearms were taken from several different vehicles.

An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant Sunday evening at a residence in LaBelle, the recovery of some of the money and stolen firearms and the arrest of 18 year old Luke Edward Wollam of LaBelle.

Wollam is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property. He is in the Lewis County Jail on $10,000 bond.
