An Edina, Missouri man is facing multiple charges after totaling his car at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Missouri State Troopers, Edina Police and Fire and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash scene on MO 6 at MO 15, one mile south of Edina.

Troopers say 30 year-old Donald Bruegenhemke failed to negotiate a curve and traveled across MO 15, running down a steep embankment and coming to rest in a water-filled ditch.

Bruegenhemke was taken to Northeast Missouri Regional Center in Kirksville.  Troopers charged him with DWI, Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident, and No Seat Belt.
