On Wednesday (August 7) at 4:13pm officers of the Hannibal Police Department were called to a business in the 300 block of North Main for a report of a female shoplifting from the store. The officer conducted an investigation and found that the female had left the area. She was later located at a hotel in the 500 block of Mark Twain Avenue where she was arrested. During the investigation officers located several items of clothing and jewelry and purses which led them back to three other stores in the 100, 200 and 300 block of North Main. Arrested was Kendra L. Logsdon 26, of Pleasant Hill Illinois. She was arrested on charges of Stealing (felony,) Possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor,) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor,) she was placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail. On Thursday August 8th a criminal arrest warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging her with Stealing (Class A Misdemeanor) bond was set at 10,000.00 cash only she remains in the Marion County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
