JWCC Named Best Online Community College in Illinois

A national organization recently recognized John Wood Community College as the best online community college in Illinois.

The recognition comes from SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher.

The ranking is based on factors including retention rate, graduation rate, number of fully online degrees offered and percentage of online enrollment.

School officials say overall credit hours delivered online through John Wood have increased 21 percent in the last five years and currently account for 30 percent of all enrollment.

John Wood Community College’s district covers nine counties in western Illinois. John Wood also serves students in Missouri, Iowa and 12 other states.
