It was another dryer than average month in July in Hannibal.

According to numbers from the National Weather Service reporting station at the Hannibal Filter Plant, 2.55 inches of rain fell in the month of July, compared to average rainfall of 4.32 inches.

Over half that total came on the 29th, when 1.58 inches of rain fell in Hannibal. Another three-quarters of an inch fell on the 19th.

The first half of the month saw nine days when the high temperature reached into the 90s, topping out at 99 on the 13th.
