There are a lot of ways to define "wealth", but for the sake of simplicity, let's focus on how much the average family makes in each Missouri city and town. The 25 richest seem to be rolling in the dough and there's a new number one at the top of the list.

I asked the raw database at USA.com to rank the 25 richest Missouri cities for me. This is purely based on per capita income which is (in my opinion) an interesting way to look at this so that smaller towns with less population aren't disregarded.

  • 1. $129,621 Loch Lloyd, MO
  • 2. $114,988 Westwood, MO
  • 3. $96,185 Ladue, MO
  • 4. $92,925 Town And Country, MO
  • 5. $91,751 Huntleigh, MO
  • 6. $86,264 Clarkson Valley, MO
  • 7. $80,589 Frontenac, MO
  • 8. $77,265 Irena, MO
  • 9. $72,801 Country Life Acres, MO
  • 10. $59,743 Warson Woods, MO
  • 11. $59,009 Creve Coeur, MO
  • 12. $58,732 Clayton, MO
  • 13. $57,568 Parkville, MO
  • 14. $56,823 Crystal Lake Park, MO
  • 15. $56,229 Glendale, MO
  • 16. $54,638 Sunset Hills, MO
  • 17. $52,265 Bellerive, MO
  • 18. $52,029 Oakland, MO
  • 19. $52,010 Chesterfield, MO
  • 20. $51,805 Innsbrook, MO
  • 21. $51,796 Des Peres, MO
  • 22. $51,614 Wildwood, MO
  • 23. $50,017 Richmond Heights, MO
  • 24. $48,661 Fremont Hills, MO
  • 25. $48,042 Lake Winnebago, MO

The number one richest place based on per capita income is Loch Lloyd, a new neighborhood in Missouri that is now home to many sports celebrities including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, golf legend Tom Watson among other. Truthfully, I wonder if $129,621 really reflects the wealth in Loch Lloyd. I'm betting the part time worker at the grocery store there likely makes more than that in tips.
