Missouri park rangers are looking for three people who allegedly vandalized a historic covered bridge in Monroe County on New Year’s Eve.

Officials with the Missouri Department of Conservation report that the three subjects spray painted graffiti on the Union Covered Bridge west of Paris.
Surveillance video shows the trio entering the bridge about 3:30 p.m. December 31st.

The Union Covered Bridge was built in 1871, and served as a transportation bridge until 1967. It has since been open only to pedestrian traffic, and became part of the Missouri State Park system.

If you have information on the vandalism, you’re asked to contact the Missouri State Park Rangers at 573-565-3440.
