There are 6 cities in Illinois where the "Normal" home price is over 1 MILLION dollars! Which cities make the list and how much are these houses going for? Here are the details you need to know...

According to an article from Axios, Illinois now has 6 "Million Dollar Cities" cities where the typical home value is over $1 million. Which cities make the list? Hinsdale, Lake Forest, Glencoe, Winnetka, Kenilworth, and Bannockburn. All of those cities are located in either Cook County, DuPage County, or Lake County, which if you aren't aware are all in the Chicagoland area of the state.

The article goes on to say this about Chicago's home prices..." highest-end real estate sales slowed last year, more homes are selling that cost between $1 million and $2 million...Persistent demand for homes outside of downtowns is one reason some states are seeing an uptick in million-dollar cities" So technically Illinois has 7 million dollar cities, if you include Chicago, it appears as though for this exercise they are not factoring in the large metro cities.
