At 03:40 a.m. Thursday (09/26/13) morning officers of the Hannibal Police Department Special Response Team and Narcotics Unit Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of S. Locust.

During the course of the search officers located several items of paraphernalia, items commonly used in packaging illegal narcotics and a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Officers took into custody, 32 year old Jacob D. Humphrey, of Hannibal and placed him on a 24 hour hold pending a warrant.

On Thursday afternoon, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Humphrey with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $50,000.00. Humphrey remains in the Marion County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
