Heather Riley in Court Monday Morning

A Quincy woman charged in connection with a stabbing incident over the weekend was in court Monday morning.

36-year-old Heather Riley was charged with aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery in connection with a stabbing incident at 1606 Van Buren Saturday night.

The incident, described by authorities as a domestic dispute, resulted in both Heather Riley and 40-year-old Jason Riley being taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Jason Riley was admitted with an injury to the chest and shoulder area. Heather Riley was taken to the Adams County Jail.

A preliminary hearing date is expected to be set with Heather Riley appears in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday.
