Hannibal Regional Hospital Welcomes First Baby Born in 2014

Hannibal Regional Hospital welcomed the First Baby of 2014, Ruth Evelyn Russell, on January 2. Ruth was born to John and Lisa Russell of Monroe City at 11:55 am on Thursday, January 2, 2014, weighing 7 lbs 9 oz. and was 19 inches long. Ruth has two sisters, Anna and Isabelle, who were excited to meet their sister and are ready to bring her home.

To make Ruth’s arrival even more special the Chris Coons Women’s Care Center, and area businesses, provided Ruth and her family with gifts:

• A $2,000 scholarship from Hannibal-LaGrange University
• A baby blanket and hat made by Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary
• A diaper bag and layette set from BirthRight of Hannibal
• A gift basket from Hannibal Regional Hospital
