A website decided to rank the "Best Small Towns in Missouri" and I was shocked to see where Hannibal fell on the list...

There is a fantastic website called Onlyinyourstate.com, they do some really great articles and I use them a ton when planning road trips or weekend getaway ideas. BUT they have an article in which they rank the Best Small Towns in Missouri, and I think Hannibal was ranked too low.

In the article they ranked Hannibal 6th out of the 17 towns that made the cut, and objectively that isn't a terrible ranking, but it is too low in my opinion. In the article when they talk about Hannibal they say...

"Hannibal is most famous for its connection to Mark Twain. Here you can visit Twain's boyhood home, take a sightseeing cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat, visit the Mark Twain Cave and Cave Hollow Winery, and even see Richard Garey's Mark Twain Himself Live Show."

The towns that they ranked above Hannibal on the list are Parkville, Boonville, Ste. Genevieve, Rocheport, and Fulton, I've never even heard of these other towns have you? Some of the other towns that made their list are Arrow Rock (which has a population of 36), Rolla, and Branson.

I'm not saying Hannibal HAS to be number one on the list but come on...It's "America's Hometown" for crying out loud! I guess maybe it is local bias but I just think Hannibal has so much to offer that they really need to spend some time there again before redoing this list!
