Hannibal, Quincy Radio Shacks on Potential Closing List

The days of the Radio Shack stores in Hannibal and Quincy could be numbered.

The stores in the Huck Finn Shopping Center in Hannibal and the Quincy Mall are on a potential store closure list released by Radio Shack Thursday night.

The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this week. Nearly 1,800 stores are on the potential closure list. The rest of the Radio Shack outlets will be sold investment firm Standard General and will reopen as Sprint mini-stores.

Radio Shack has been in business since 1921.
