With the newest COVID-19 restrictions and mitigations coming down from the Governor starting Friday the Quincy Pickers Market's Christmas Market at the Quincy Mall scheduled for this weekend has officially been postponed until middle of December.

In a statement posted on the Quincy Mall's Facebook page today they made the announcement about the postponement saying...

"With the recent state mandate, this weekend’s scheduled Quincy Christmas Market has been postponed to December 18, 19 & 20. Quincy Mall remains OPEN, with the pop-up crafters show shifting to the last weekend before Christmas, provided Adams County moves back to Phase 4 conditions...We appreciate your understanding, and thanks for shopping local!"

I think that is a key distinction to be made about this particular announcement of a postponement, that as long as Adams County which is in region 3 here in Illinois moves back to Phase 4 in time, then the market will be a go. Also it is very important to note that the Quincy Mall itself remains open throughout these new mitigations and restrictions aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19 in Illinois. It is a real bummer that all these Christmas markets have been cancelled or postponed over the past 2 weeks for many of the vendors but also for someone like me who loves to shop at these markets to find those unique Christmas gift items for my friends and family. We will continue to update you on the status of this Christmas Market inside the Quincy Mall as we know more!
