Hannibal Police Find Dead Body in Alley Thursday

Hannibal Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in the downtown area Thursday morning.

Officers were called to an alleyway behind a business in the 800 block of Broadway about 7:30 a.m. Thursday on a report of a deceased female.

Detectives were able to determine the female lived near the area where she was found.
Police say no foul play is suspected and there is no danger to the public.

An autopsy is being conducted Friday at the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office in Columbia, where it is hoped the identity of the female will be confirmed.
