The Hannibal Police Department wants you to know about the parking restrictions that will be in place in downtown Hannibal during a couple of the marquee events of National Tom Sawyer Days.

In a press release, HPD announced there will be no parking along the routes of the Hannibal Cannibal or Tom Sawyer Days parade from 2 a.m. Saturday until the race and parade are over.

Officers will be contacting businesses along the Cannibal and Parade route the evening of July 2nd informing them of the parking restrictions. Any vehicle found parked along the route, 2 hours prior to the event, may be subject to tow. The Hannibal Police Department is looking for the public’s cooperation in this matter.

The Cannibal begins at 6 a.m. Saturday at North and Main. It continues down Main to Church then crosses the 3rd Street Overpass, continuing south on Highway 79.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Broadway and Grand Avenue, going east on Broadway, then south on Main before ending at Church Street.
