Hannibal Man Pleads Guilty to Drug and Burglary Charges
A Hannibal man awaiting trial on murder charges enters guilty pleas to charges of cocaine possession and burglary.
49 year old Travis Lane entered the guilty pleas Friday in Marion County. Lane also faces second degree murder charges in the beating death of 28 year old Jennie Joe Blankenship of Hannibal. Marion County Prosecutor David Clayton says he’s asking for the maximum sentence of 45 years in the murder case. A motion to suppress Lane’s confession to the murder was granted on the grounds that the confession came after a request to have a lawyer present during questioning by police.
