Hannibal Man Hospitalized Following Stabbing

A Hannibal man is in the hospital after being stabbed by a woman living in the same residence.

The victim, a 24-year-old male, had two stab wounds to his chest, but was conscious and alert when officers arrived shortly before 10:00 am on Saturday morning. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Washington Street in Hannibal.

Pointed out by a witness, the suspect, 29-year-old Victoria E. Norell of Hannibal, was ordered to the ground and taken into custody without incident. She was charged with Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action.

Norell has been placed on a 24-hour hold pending prosecutor review.
