Hannibal Man Dead Following US 63 Crash

A head on collision on US 63 north of Macon at 8:25 Thursday morning claims the life of a Hannibal man.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a truck driven by 62 year old Sterling Owens of Hannibal crossed the center line on 63 and collided head on with a semi operated by a Rockford Illinois man. Troopers say Owens was pronounced dead at the scene by the Macon County Coroner. Troopers say Owens was not wearing a seat belt.
