A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail on drug and weapons charges.

Hannibal Police report officers tried to take 24 year old Kalin Anderson into custody in the 1900 block of Hope Street on an assault warrant just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Anderson fled the scene but was caught after a brief foot chase.

A bag Anderson dropped during the chase was found to contain a handgun, cash and substances believed to be fentanyl, cocaine and meth.

Anderson has been charged with drug trafficking, delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful use of weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Anderson is in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
